Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country at their first meet of the season at Armco Park last week. The girls finished 5th in the Springboro Opening Day Invitational.  
The boys dominated the meet this past weekend, taking home the first place trophy by 33 points over Loveland. The girls took 8th place. Grace Durbin had 26th place and Kayla Settles 29th place out of 226 runners. The girls moved up 5 places from last year (13th last year!) Way to go girls!  The boys left with a 3rd place finish missing 2nd by 5 points! The boys improved 2 places from last year. Medaling were Calvin Reed with 8th place, Daniel Roderer 16th, and Jake Knight 18th out of 251 runners.


In volleyball news, 7th grade Centerville defeated Springboro. In a non-conference match, Springboro defeated Bellbrook. Our 8th grade girls volleyball lost their season opener to the Centerville Elks in two sets, 14-25 and 24-26. The girls made excellent efforts and great serving was accomplished by Jenna Smith and Erin McGrail. 

Football: Come out and watch the home opener against Centerville on Wednesday, August 29th. 7th grade kicks off at 5:45 followed by the 8th grade game.
