· Thank you to all of our students, parents and staff for helping us to another successful first day of school here at SI. We are all looking forward to a great year with a fantastic new group of talented, eager students! Nice job today!
- Our students did a great job getting to the right place at the right time, opening lockers and learning their way around their new school. Each day things will go more smoothly and we will very quickly be able to get down to the business of learning.
- Again, it is important for students to ride the bus to school if possible. This helps our transportation department refine their routes and enables our students to understand how riding the bus works. It also cuts down on traffic! For those who do need to drop off students, please do so in the drop off lane in front of the building. If you drop off before 7:20 you may also drop off in back of the school near the gym.
- Students who walk or are picked up by cars at the end of the day are dismissed out the front doors of the building.
· For questions regarding our BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology) pilot program that we are using in our Social Studies classes, please refer to the brochure that was sent home two weeks ago with our parent letter. It is important to remember that no student is required to bring a device to school. We will have extra technology devices in our social studies classrooms for students who do not have a device. Whether or not our students bring laptops, netbooks, I-pads, tablet computers to school is strictly up to the parents. For more information, please refer to the brochure on Bring Your Own Technology. As always, if you have questions, please feel free to contact us. Thanks!
