Tomorrow starts our OAA testing.  We will be testing in the mornings when everyone is well rested and ready to go!  Please make sure your student gets a good nights sleep and eats a good breakfast in the morning!  Thursday will be the second day of OAA testing.

The date that the 5th grade will visit Springboro Intermediate (SI) has been changed.  The original date was set for May 18th.  It has been changed to Tuesday, May 17th.  The purpose of this trip is to allow the students to tour the building that they will be attending next school year.

A friendly reminder regarding the criteria for outdoor recess.   We have had several students starting to wear shorts, if it is too cold outside for them and they do not have additional pants to wear over their shorts they will be keep inside for recess.
You are strongly encouraged to send your child to school with a hat, gloves and a heavy coat during the cold weather as we will go out if temperature (including wind chill) is 25 degrees and higher (based on ~ area code 45066).  It is our intent to go outside whenever possible.

We have quite a collection of items in our lost and found.  Please either have your child check for a missing item(s) or feel free to stop by and take a look yourself.

May 3rd & 4th will be orientation meetings for parents to attend, giving them information about the 5th grade students transition to 6th
grade. The orientation will begin at 7:00 p.m.  In the gym at Springboro Intermediate.  The meeting will last approximately 1 hour.
Dennis Elementary meeting is on the 3rd.
Five PointsElementary meeting is on the 4th.

We had a great response to the Target Cards last month.   They are available in $25 and $100 denominations.  Please consider paying by check if you order Target gift cards as the contribution that Target offers to Scrip will not cover the credit card fees Scrip has to pay.  Want to change your payment from credit card to check? Just change the box that is checked on your order page that you order from. Can't figure it out? Email us at
If you pay by credit card please take a minute to check to see if your credit card information on file with Scrip is up to date.  We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover.  You can check this once you log in.  Thanks.
If you would like to pick up your order instead of having it mailed to you please respond to this email and make arrangements.  This also saves Scrip money and allows more money to go back to Springboro PTO's.

We just want to remind parents to be sure that your child has their gym shoes on their assigned gym days.  Without the appropriate shoes, students are unable to participate in gym.
