The Springboro High School Varsity Tennis team edged out Chaminade Julienne last night as a team. The Panthers defeated CJ 3-2. R. O'Gara defeated his opponent in Singles 6-1, 6-1. The tandems of M. O'Gara/Gruber and Co. Zwissler/Ramicone defeated their opponents in doubles action.
Springboro moves to 16-4 on the season. Members of the Springboro Tennis team that will be competing in the State Tourney begin action this Thursday, May 13-14 for Sectionals. Semi-finals & Finals will be held May 15.
In Singles, Ryan O'Gara is paired against Kevin Mack of Middletown. Cruz Zwissler will play Mike Lopez of Carroll. Greg Lloyd will play Nick Houvouras from Miamisburg.
In Doubles, Colton Zwissler and Anthony Ramicone will face Carroll's Austin Romero and Steven Dull. Michael O'Gara and Phillip Gruber who were seeded #3 in the tourney will face Jimmy Parks and Christian Woodlan of Middletown.
