Dear Parents,
The time, since we have been back from Spring Break, has really flown. We have had a wonderful Spring! A lot of warm, dry weather has enabled us to be outside most days. As a reminder, please check to be sure that shorts are not too short, no spaghetti strap or halter tops, and no muscle shirts.
Yesterday was our first day of state testing and it went very smoothly. We are giving make-up tests today and will give the math test tomorrow to the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Attendance is very important and it is important that the students are on time. Students may not enter the room after testing has begun.
The cafeteria ladies have notified me that we have many students who owe lunch money. After they reach a negative balance of $4.30 the students may not charge, they are given a milk and cheese sandwich. Please check your accounts to be sure that you are not in the red.
We are all looking forward to our 2nd grade music program, Thurs. April 22.
Mr. Bromberg, Mrs. Gudz, Mrs. Earles 6:00 (arrival time 5:50)
Mrs. Krueckeberg, Mrs. Miller 7:00 (arrival time 6:50)
Each presentation will last about 25 minutes. It is important that we clear the cafeteria after each performance to welcome the next group of parents and students. There is a third performance at 8:00. Students can dress casually, or if they wish they can "dress up." For their safety, they will be dancing so they need to wear shoes that will not come off easily and are not too slippery.
I understand that tomorrow is the official date for "Take Your Child To Work." This is a wonderful activity for the summer but is considered an unexcused absence in our district. Third, fourth and fifth graders will be taking their Ohio Achievement Assessment and it will be very important that they are here.
